Nissan Almera Tino 2,2D with VP44

06.11.2011 | aktualizováno 13.11.2011 12:53:19 2 964x
It is the engine with Bosch VP44.
The engine starts normally but the car can not start up even on the flat road.
I have to rev it up to 2000RPM and then it can go. Around 3000RPMs it has the power I expect it to have.
The warm engine starts to bark (like on 1 or 2 cylinders) and than after 5-10 seconds of starting it comes to live.
If I press the clutch during the ride, the revs will fall to 500RPMs and it takes them a while to get back to 700-800RPMs.
I think that it is caused by loss of pressure in the pump. (the pump can make high pressure in high revs).
My theory is supported by warm starts too. (warm diesel is thinner, so it takes a longer time to reach the pressure)
Do someone have the idea how to check that theory?? To take down the pump means to take off the whole engine I suppose....
I have another question. I have another VP44 from engine 2,5D. It differs from 2,2 just in bore, otherwise the engine is the same. Do you think that I can use this pump?

I am leaving the theory about leaking pump.
I tried to move off without throttle in idle and the car goes even to steep hill. When I tried to add throttle it makes no change...
