The owner was driving with low fuel and the engine stopped running and couldn't be restarted. 5 litres of fuel was added and after long cranking it eventually started. The vehicle was driveable but with a lot of noises and loud banging in the engine compartment for only about 100 m. After that it was impossible to start the engine. This was followed by a quick check after which it was recommended to tow the vehicle to a workshop and test the fuel system.Even though the owner insisted that the engine should not be started by the tow assistent service they cranked the engine, which started after a few minutes but again with loud noises stopped running. After that, it was towed to our workshop.
In our workshop, the fault memory was scanned.
