LD 1 - training course for diagnosticians who want to start with "real" diagnostics

Úvod

LD 1 = basic processes of the oscilloscope
LD 1 training is not about the detailed functions of the systems and their components, the student must have this knowledge. The content is connected in such a way that the student receives an effective tool for diagnosing faults - logical judgement and confidence in fault finding. The training course describes basic functions and processes of actuators and their circuits, with examples of common faults, so that the student understands this and can use it with confidence every time he traces faults. The training uses animations of the circuit function, together with waveforms. The training is conducted in the classroom and hands-on in the workshop. At the end the students perform a final evaluation test.
All the questions that are used in the final test are contained in the training textbook.

Requirements for training:
- basic knowledge of current petrol engine fuel systems (fuel pump types, fuel pressure regulation, fuel injector function, function of evaporative emission systems)
- basic knowledge of petrol and diesel engine operation
- experience with petrol and diesel fuel system repair

Final stage of training
The student attending the training performs a final evaluation test a knowledge test of what he has learned and he receives a certificate for the LD 1 training.

Schedule of the LD 1 training course:
- basic processes - 2,5 hours
switching to ground, loses, voltage and current drops, compression, AXE rulers, engine balance, pulse width modulation PWM
- lunch
- petrol fuel systems - 2,5 hours
fuel pump - fuel pump test, 2 fault examples
fuel pressure - system test, 2 fault examples
fuel injection - signal behaviour, important parameters, 3 fault examples
- HANDS-ON - 3 hours
perform a complete test of grounds, power supplies, battery, compression, fuel injectors
- final test 30 min

During the hands-on activities in fault finding, the students are divided into two groups. The workshop activities are prepared for fault diagnosis, that relates to the topic of the training.
