TEXVIK - "The Oscilloscope is dead, long live the Signal Recorder"

Why do we call the TEXVIK a "signal recorder"and not an "oscilloscope"...

With a normal oscilloscope it is impossible to start any measurements without making prior adjustments. Even though using TEXVIK is simple, with all it's additional functions, it is at the same time a multifunctional "Engine" and "Data Tester"....

Connect, start the recording and go for a test drive, that's TEXVIK...

 

Advantages of the TEXVIK signal recorder, that the user will appreciate:

  • The work is up to 80% faster than with an oscilloscope! No complicated adjustments are necessaryand you can start recording within 1 second after connecting to a PC.
  • 100% continuous recording directly to a hard drive. If the recording is interrupted you have a complete recording up to the point of the interrupted recording. Nothing is lost!
  • Unlimited recording time of device. Restricted only by the size of the hard drive and PC system.
  • You are not recording only pictures but a complete log that you can later play and change all it's parameters.
  • Swapping of analogue inputs to any channel on the screen with a software function that saves time and work with changing leads on the anologue inputs of the device or on the vehicle.

The TEXVIK is manufactured in two versions.....MS and DS....which one is best for you?

The MS version is easier to use and and has easier hardware adjustment (switches on the front panel). The DS version due to its higher sampling speed is a more useful device for detailed measurement of quick signals. It has a wider range of use (CAN BUS), but it requires higher attention from the user. The operating software is the same for both devices. 

 

TECHNICAL SUPPORT - online

The device has manufacturer interactive support on www.fcd.eu that includes not only basic use and setup, but also evaluation of recorded waveforms for only 0,33 EUR per day. When you buy a new device the support is 6 months FREE. 

Here is free for all: Actual programe freeware version 3.4.2.6-1 from 05.10.2011for download, which can be used as browser for all files recorded by TEXVIK.

Defect, that can be provoked only under certain driving mode, or defect that appears just sporadically has to be diagnose in critical modes - ie mostly while driving. The way how to connect the components on engine (on theirs own connectors) is simple, but when diagnose the sensors ( rev sensors, position sensors, temperature tracks, pressure) it is needed to measure on ECU!  

The demonstration video shows how such a fast preparation for a test drive looks like....( total preparation time approx 20 min.)
